2024 Rosé of pinot noir

winemaker notes

Our 2024 Rosé shows a bright, delicate color. The nose is fresh and inviting, with hints of red fruits, enhanced by a touch of peach and a hint of white flowers. The palate is crisp and balanced. Its lively acidity is perfectly balanced with the sweetness of the red fruits, interwoven with interesting citrus and floral notes. This vibrant combination of minerality, fruit and wildflowers makes this wine an honest and harmonious expression of the Willamette Valley terroir.

vintage notes

The favorable spring weather allowed for an even and healthy flowering, and the vines grew steadily. The summer season was moderate but not excessive, an ideal condition to promote grape ripening without stressing the vines. Cool breezes from the Pacific Ocean helped maintain the balance between sugar and acidity in the grapes.

September was an extremely positive month from a climatic standpoint, with moderate temperatures and minimal rainfall. These conditions favored a later harvest than in the 2023 season, allowing the grapes to ripen evenly with excellent levels of acidity and aromatic concentration. The 2024 vintage brings wines with deep, complex and vibrant flavors that reflect the Willamette Valley terroir at its best.

winemaking details

Sourced from our Dundee Hills estate, the Iron Filbert Vineyard. The fruit was specifically picked and sourced from block 2G of the estate, which is Pommard clone. Our Rosé is sorted slowly by hand and pressed whole cluster. Once pressed, we ferment in stainless steel for 10 days before barreling down to age for 6 months on lees in neutral French oak.
