Born in Italy, Jacopo Canciani brings a wealth of international experience and passion to our winery. With an education in viticulture and enology from Italy, Jacopo began his career at the age of 19 with the prestigious Frescobaldi family. His journey in winemaking has taken him across the globe, with vintages in Italy, Argentina, and New Zealand. Jacopo's diverse background and dedication to the art of winemaking make him an invaluable asset to our team.

 
 
 

ASHLEY BAchaumard | General Manager

With her vast experience in wine, culinary arts, and Michelin Star service, Ashley brings a high level of hospitality and knowledge to the team. Ashley is an Oregon native, who went to the University of Denver in Colorado for Hospitality Management. After college Ashley managed a farm-to-table restaurant in Denver then moved to Napa, California, where she worked at The French Laundry and Realm Cellars.

 
 
 

RacheL NEVILLE | CLUB & Events MANAGER

As an Oregon Native, Rachel grew up in the Willamette Valley and is now based locally in Newberg. After working in a handful of tasting rooms, she has found a home at Domaine Roy & fils. She graduated from Portland State with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management. Beyond her professional acumen, her passion for wine unites her curiosity for art and farming. This pairs perfectly with her love of cooking. Whether cultivating experiences or exploring the nuances of viticulture, Rachel is dedicated to broadening the reach of Willamette Valley wines.

 
 
 

Brandon Gross | Assistant winemaker

A native Oregonian, Brandon studied finance at Southern Oregon University but has always had a passion for wine. Returning to the Domaine Roy family as an Assistant Winemaker, he previously worked harvest with us in 2016 and 2017. With hard work and dedication over countless vintages, he has learned what it takes to make benchmark wines. When Brandon is not in the cellar making wine, you can find him on the tennis courts, mountain biking a local trail, foraging for mushrooms, and spending quality time with his family.

 
 
 

valeria solan | hospitality associate

Val was born in San Jose, Costa Rica, and moved to McMinnville, Oregon when she was six. Growing up in the Willamette Valley with winemaker family friends exposed her to the artistic beauty behind its craftsmanship and the wonderful community of wine. In her free time, you can find her in the ceramics studio creating handmade pieces, hiking, and paddle boarding.

 
 
 

Joslyn Matthiesen | HR MANAGER & bookkeeper

A native Oregonian, Joslyn moved to the heart of the Willamette Valley six years ago, where she quickly fell in love with the culture of the local wine world and decided to be a part of it. With over 20 years of experience in accounting and office management, bookkeeping became an easy transition into the wine industry. Joslyn has a passion for wine, people, and the beauty of the vineyards. Her hands-on energy and desire to help with anything make her a welcomed addition to our team.

 
 
 

Osmand Evans | Hospitality associate

Born and raised in the Willamette Valley, Osmand Evans has been surrounded by the world of wine from a young age. After studying Biochemistry at the University of Vermont, he returned to his roots in Oregon to foster his knowledge of wine at Domaine Roy et Fils. With a deep appreciation for the wine industry and a wealth of experience in the food service sector since 2018, Osmand brings a unique perspective to the team, helping create exceptional guest experiences and connecting visitors to the heart of Domaine Roy’s offerings. When he's not at the winery, Osmand enjoys exploring the culinary scene of Portland, hiking the Oregon coast, and running through the Dundee Hills.

 
 
 

rachel slocum | Hospitality associate

Originally from Alabama, Rachel sought a new experience and found herself in Oregon, where her passion for wine ignited during her first harvest with Domaine Serene in 2022. Since then, she's immersed herself in the wine world, gaining hands-on experience and building valuable connections while traveling for multiple harvests and pursuing her WSET certifications. After years on the move, Rachel returned to the place where her love for wine had first begun. Now, you'll find her in our tasting room, eager to share her unique perspective and insights from her time in production. When she’s not at the winery, Rachel enjoys exploring new cuisines, coffee dates followed by thrifting, or spending time with friends for a game of pool and some karaoke.

 
 
 

Meredith vandenberg | Hospitality associate

Originally from Chicagoland, Meredith moved to Portland in 2017. With a background in public education, she brings a deep appreciation for learning and a self-taught passion for wine. She got her start in the industry in 2024, working harvest at Sequitur. Her enthusiasm for cellar work and hands-on experience reflect her commitment to understanding the craft from the ground up. When she’s not sharing her love of wine in the tasting room, Meredith can be found taking day trips to the coast, in her kitchen perfecting new recipes or enjoying Portland’s movie and music scenes.

Originally from Mexico, I moved to Oregon in 2004 and began working in vineyards at just 17 years old. Starting in the renowned Dundee Hills, I developed a deep understanding of the region’s vineyards and wineries, gaining hands-on experience in every aspect of vineyard management. With over two decades in the industry, I am passionate about cultivating high-quality grapes and supporting sustainable viticulture practices.

Beyond the vineyard, I enjoy spending time with my family, I love hiking, paddleboarding, creating art, and traveling. A true nature enthusiast, I find inspiration in the beauty of the outdoors and the unique landscapes that shape exceptional wines.
